Here's the winning entry in our logo contest.

And the winner of the logo contest - Betsy Weidner

  During the summer before eighth grade, Betsy was commissioned by some friends of her parents to design the logo for those renegade Surfers and Slackers and their notorious "Slackettes". Before the hazy bubble of being thirteen was popped by the brash, ukulele loving Surf City dwellers, she was planning on having a quiet, peaceful summer with her therapist/cat, Spooky; her savior Neptune the Computer, and the Fifth Harry Potter book. She was not planning on staring at pixels for three hours at a time.  However, with the help of her therapist/cat, plus Neptune and quick Harry Potter breaks she trudged through and made the Surf City Slackers logo. She has decided to count the hours she spent laboring over each and every pixel as her community service.

        Besides her therapist, Betsy has four other cats, a dog, two brothers (yes they fall under the pet category) and lives with her litigating mother and carpenter father. In her spare time Betsy listens to Rock music from Finland and worries about high schools.
